YesAbility work alongside parents and carers

Supporting a child with additional needs can bring questions, uncertainty and a lot of responsibility. You may be noticing changes in behaviour, challenges with everyday routines, or difficulties at school, home or in the community. If you’re not sure what support is needed, or where to begin, you’re not alone.

At YesAbility, we work alongside parents and carers to understand what’s happening and what matters most to your family. Our practitioners take time to listen, learn about your child’s strengths, and identify supports that make everyday life easier and more positive. This may include Positive Behaviour Support, therapy services, early intervention or a combination of approaches tailored to your child’s needs.

We believe families play a vital role in achieving meaningful outcomes. That’s why we focus on practical strategies, collaboration with schools and other professionals, and building confidence so you feel supported, informed and capable. Whether you’re seeking guidance, therapy or just a conversation to help clarify your options, our team is here to help you take the next step.

A safe space to practice real‑world skills

For Noah, new environments were anxiety‑provoking and unpredictable. Traditional therapy felt overwhelming, so YesAbility introduced Virtual Reality Therapy as a gentle step forward. In a safe, immersive space, Noah practised everyday scenarios — from shopping to social interactions — at his own pace. Over time, confidence grew. What once seemed impossible now feels manageable, and Noah is transferring those skills into the real world with growing independence.
